On September 26-27th, Philadelphia will be THE home for hosting the

Holiest. Pope Francis has inspired millions around the world with his progressive viewpoints and popularity. Pope is Dope Philly™ is a fun way to show your support for the Pope, remember his historic visit, and a chance to give back to a local charity. 20% of all profts will be donated to the Sisters of St. Joseph at Chestnut Hill Philadelphia.

Pope is Dope Philly™is an offshoot of Lunchbox Communications, one of Philadelphia’s most established women’s owned hybrid ad agency/production companies. As a part of our work with helping nonprofits we have designed packaging and historic memorabilia. One of our T-shirts for historic Manayunk was just featured in USA Today’s “Best Shopping in Philadelphia.” We are also working closely with the City of Philadelphia for planning A Day of Kindness events and the art installations for the 30 days from Pope Francis’ visit up until the Dalai Lama visits.

Convents across the country rely solely on donations to help with the cost of living for aging sisters both in the convent, and once retired. Up until 1972, there was no Social Security provided for Catholic nuns in this

country, and those who are reaching retirement age now have little or no funds to help assist them with their costs of living.

Throughout their creative process the young graphic designers responsible for the Pope is Dope brand madesure to get their ideas blessed by experts like KimRichards, an actress and comedian who performs all over the country for the renowned one-woman show, Late Nite Catechism. But approval also came from the real deal–The Sisters of St. Joseph. The best blessing cam from Sister Kathleen and we quote,“I think Pope Francis would get a kick out of these!”

Pope is Dope Philly™ is designed by young artists who work together at Lunchbox, a Philly Ad agency, love their city, and want to make merchandise that is fun but respectful and gives locals and visitors something unique to remember the Pope’s historic visit to Philadelphia. We offer T-shirts, buttons, and sunglasses including: Philly’s own Fresh Prince inspired Fresh Pope design; a tribute to one of our city’s most beloved characters: Rocky; and even weighing in on the great cheesesteak debate, repurposing Pope Francis’ “Who am I to judge?” quote.
